It runs from Chicken (Alaska) to Dawson City (Yukon). From Chicken, this windy, gravel road climbs steeply and runs through the mountains with infinitely, wide views to the American-Canadian border. The Milepost (read the background story "The Bible of North Country Travelling") advises to take plenty of time for this trip. We made this trip by motorhome, which is certainly a good way of travelling, but it does take more than 7 hours. (Make sure you have enough petrol!)After a few hours we reached the border and after a short stop and a drive over the plateau, we began the ‘descent’ towards Dawson.
