In Alaska, it just may happen: you're suddenly face to face with a grizzly bear!Every summer bears come down to the rivers to gorge on salmon.With their sharp claws and teeth, they catch a salmon from the river and devour it in a short time. Bears build up a layer of fat before beginning their long winter sleep.These shots were made on the shore of Solomon Creek, a salmon spawning stream near the city of Valdez (Alaska).
