Sportfishing is Alaska's most popular sport! Alaskan fish regularly while outsiders often make it their main reason to visit the state. Some of them hope to ship home a crate of frozen fish.Deep-sea fishing for huge halibut is the ultimate attraction and is popular here around Seward on the Kenai Peninsula, situated on the western edge of the Gulf of Alaska.

Halibut, which occasionally weigh over 300 lb (135 kg), are founded in the Gulf of Alaska, especially in the waters around Seward on the Kenai Peninsula.
